In the sun-drenched heart of Sicily, the Traditional Indian wedding of Anjali and Vignesh unfolded like a vibrant tapestry, beginning with the golden embrace of the Haldi, where sacred turmeric bathed them in blessings for a radiant future together. This serene morning soon blossomed into the playful chaos of Holi, as clouds of colored powder danced in the Mediterranean breeze.

As twilight fell, the air turned sweet with the scent of henna at the Mehndi station for the future bride. The day finally reached its romantic crescendo with the Sangeet, an explosion of music that saw two families unite in dance, celebrating the union of Anjali and Vignesh under a canopy of stars.

Exchange of vows in a breathtaking terrace

The following day, the celebration moved to a breathtaking terrace suspended between the azure sky and the Sicilian sea.

In this Western-style ceremony, Anjali’s Scottish-Indian heritage and Vignesh’s roots sang in perfect harmony, creating a landscape of sound where the soulful skirl of the bagpipes met the thundering beat of the Dhol .

Against the backdrop of the crashing waves, their union became a bridge between the Highlands and the East, a modern exchange of vows that echoed beautifully across the Ionian horizon.

On the day, all the events ran seamlessly (a big feat considering the complex timeline and number of entrances and dances we had!) and coordinated with our vendors so it all felt effortless. We had a bad spell of weather for our morning event and within the hour, the team had spoken to all the vendors to push the event back by a hour without issue.

Alessandra is not only exceptionally talented but also funny and warm. She became a friend by our side throughout the entire planning process and managed everything with meticulous detail and style!
